Option 1 - Webflow Hosted, auto looping
This option uses the webflow background video element to host the video (which isn't compatible with sound) so we can upload video files and then embed them manually. Much more control over visual consistency in terms of video size/cropping than the regular tiktok videos. On click we could have them link out to the original tiktoks.
(This is prettymuch the same method being used on the Our Favorite TikToks page)
Option 2 - Webflow Hosted, custom player
This option uses the webflow background video element to host the video (which isn't compatible with sound) so we can upload video files and then embed them manually. Here we can have the videos play when the user clicks on them, this has a less chaotic feel since the videos aren't playing automatically
Option 3 - Vimeo or AWS, custom player
This option requires us to pay for a third party service to host the video but would allow us to embed the video with sound I'd recommend either a Vimeo Standard plan or Amazon web services. This would allow us to also include sound in the video and would be the most customizable in terms of modifying the video player.
*Note - The below demo isn't using those plans because they require an additional subscription. Option 3 would be similar to Option 2 but would include sound.
Option 4 - stick with embeds
The last option is to stick with just embedding the videos straight from TikTok but I wouldn't recommend this. They have issues with cropping weird, some of the links mysteriously don't work and overall it looks a lot less clean.
